Dear Members,

Welcome to 2012 and all of the new opportunities available to us.  As a valued member of ISACA, please remember to renew your membership and make a commitment to enhancing your IT knowledge and professional growth.  Remember to report your CPE hours and update your contact information.

We are preparing four our annual All Day Fraud Seminar scheduled February 7th and it is sure to be a valuable opportunity to refresh your skills, learn new ideas, and network with other information technology and audit professionals.  Stay tuned for the final details of scheduled speakers and topics.

Please join us at our next chapter lunch meeting to be held at McCormick & Schmick’s in Irvine on Tuesday January 17th.  Our speaker will be Jason James, Founder of Regents & Park supplying technology risk management services.  The presentation is titled “PCI Data Security Standards Pre Breach & What To Do Post Breach”.

Many thanks to Jim Chergey, Partner Deloitte & Touche LLP and Chetan Trivedi, Manager Worldwide IS Audit Ingram Micro, Inc. for their well received presentation on the “Impact of PCAOB Auditing Standards Nos. 8-15 on Internal and External Audit”.  The presentation was insightful, participatory, and very interesting.

We are always looking for new program ideas and speakers.  If you know someone or would like to volunteer to speak, please contact myself or another chapter leader.  We value your ideas and especially your participation.

Best regards and warmest wishes for a bright new year!
